Meet The Artist

Sheel Gardner Anand

Sheel’s breathtaking scenic paintings are admired by collectors around the world, with one of the largest U.S. collections located in Palm Beach, Florida.

His artistic journey began at the age of five, shaped by Vermont artists and a range of traditional techniques. Though a graduate of the University of Vermont, his greatest influence came from close friend and mentor Carroll N. Jones Jr.—a former Yale art professor and master of a rare, multi-layered painting technique rooted in Renaissance tradition.

Primarily working through private commissions, Sheel’s highly acclaimed pieces are celebrated for their mastery of light, shadow, and atmospheric perspective. His work invites viewers into richly immersive scenes that feel vividly alive.

While Vermont remains a profound source of inspiration, Sheel’s work extends far beyond.

If you’re visiting Vermont, his paintings can be viewed by appointment at his studio or at the following locations:

Front Four Galleries – Stowe

The Stowe Community Church - Stowe

Trapp Family Lodge - Stowe

The Art Hound – Essex Junction

The Village Frame Shoppe – St. Albans

Shelburne Country Store – Shelburne

“While Vermont has inspired him creatively, his award-winning work hangs in many private international collections."
